How to advocate for yourself and your loved one
Experiences of seeking and accessing support for an eating disorder can vary, and we know that people can face barriers and obstacles during this journey. This session will:
- Help you begin to understand what some of the guidelines for eating disorders say you and your loved one have a reasonable entitlement to in treatment.
- Support you in thinking about how you could advocate for yourself or your loved one to receive the appropriate support and help guide you in overturning a bad decision.
Hear from carers with lived experience who faced challenges in accessing support, and how they navigated their next steps.
