Navigating treatment teams and services – practical tips for engaging in the process and ensuring the best outcome for you and your family.
This session is an honest account of the key information and resources that are useful for carers when navigating eating disorder services. Alan gives practical examples and insightful knowledge on how to communicate with services to ensure that clinicians, carers and patients are working together. Alan uses the widely recognised ‘animal analogies’ to illustrate how to communicate you’re your treatment team.
He is open and honest about the challenges they encountered as a family and the learning they took from those challenges.
